Since November 2016, Sébastien serves as CEO and Managing Partner of KREAXI, born from the merger of Banexi Ventures Partners with Rhône-Alpes Création. Previously, since 2012, he was President of Rhône-Alpes Création, a venture capital company specializing in investing in young innovative companies based in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes. In 30 years, KREAXI has become a key player in the financing of start-ups in France.

Prior to 2012, as Investment Director at Siparex Group’s venture capital team (Sigefi Ventures Gestion), he managed 15 investment vehicles (FCPI and SCR) representing €250m with more than 120 companies in portfolio. He has invested in various technology-based industries, such as  Docea Power (sold to Intel), Amoeba (IPO), DA-LightCom (sold to Highwave Optical), Meiosys (sold to IBM), Mesatronic, Orphan Pharma international – OPi (sold to EUSA Pharma), PX Therapeutics (sold to Aguettant), V3D (sold to Orange subsidiary Soft&Home), Sentryo (sold to CISCO) or Pollen Metrology.

Previously, Sébastien joined the team of Sud Partners, a Lyon-based venture capital fund, to invest the Sudinnova II FCPR (€33m), where he was a member of the executive committee for 11 years.

Sébastien started as a investment manager at Rhône-Alpes Création, where he built up a diversified portfolio of innovative young companies, which served as the basis for the creation of Amorçage Rhône-Alpes Seed Fund.

Sébastien is a member of the board of directors of UNICER, a French lobbying association for regional investments in France, which has more than 20 affiliates.
